Son Tra Peninsula
Son Tra Peninsula is located in the territory of Son Tra district, about 1km from the Code Hotel & Spa to the northeast. A vast jungle with many rare and precious animals, colorful coral reefs, and captivating coastline which is the wonderful gift that nature has generously bestowed Son Tra Peninsula – “a precious natural pearl” of Da Nang tourism.
Eventually demanding tourists can become hypnotized by the sparkling blue sea water, and in the distance, a dazzling array of colorful marine creatures and coral reefs can be seen. Son Tra is the only jungle in Vietnam locating in the heart of the young city. Son Tra Peninsula is home to the diverse and rich natural reserve with 4,000 ha of covering forest, in which a portion of hilly land is surrounded with industrial crops. With the importance and values of nature, the region is protected under national forbidden forest regimes. More particularly, stretching a total area of 4,000 hectares, it is home to around 1,000 different plant species, 51 birds, 15 reptiles, and 42 species of coral. Red cheek gibbons and a species of turtle are among the animals living in the area that are also listed in Vietnam Red Book of endangered species.
